Welcome to Divine Interiors Design Studio

Hello, my name is Candice and I am the CEO and Designer of Divine Interiors.

My journey started with a love for creating beautiful things with my hands, but not through design. I started my career as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker. I worked in Edmonton, AB while obtaining my Cabinetmaker’s ticket through NAIT. I gained experience working in a cabinet shop that built custom cabinetry for a high-end home builder in Edmonton.

After receiving my ticket, I took 10 years off from working to look after our three boys in their preschool years. Once they were all in school I launched an Interior Finishing company doing small projects and renovations for people. My interest in Interior Design grew during this time so I decided to get a diploma in order to further my knowledge and expand my career into the design world. During my time taking online courses for Interior Design I worked with a cabinet company creating kitchen and bathroom design plans and delving into the world of interacting with clients. I discovered a love and passion for educating clients about what the possibilities are for their project. Over the years I have overseen many renovation projects and have done a lot of the finishing work myself which has helped me to understand the process needed to plan out a project. My varied scope of knowledge in the trades has given me an edge as a Designer because I understand the building process and therefore I design things how I would build them myself.

On the personal side…

I have been married to my husband Stephen for 22 years! We have three very active boys. As a family we love mountain biking and camping. In the winter we enjoy skiing and snowboarding and watching our boys play school sports. I also love CrossFit and the occasional trail race to keep me active. We love to travel when we can, even if it’s just to the Rockies to enjoy the mountains.
